Solar EPC Services

Engineered for the Sun

Windsun Renewables delivers end-to-end Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) solutions for Grid-Tie Rooftop Solar Systems from site assessment through installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. Our process is built to lower the lifetime cost of your energy, backed by cost-effective, streamlined execution and strong asset management.

What Is a Grid-Tie Rooftop Solar System

A Grid-Tie Solar Rooftop System is a photovoltaic (PV) setup with solar modules mounted on the rooftop of a residential, commercial, or industrial building. The system converts the DC power generated by the modules into usable AC power through an inverter. Power generated during the day runs your electrical loads directly, and any surplus is fed back to the grid as long as grid supply is available. When solar generation is insufficient, due to cloud cover or at night, your load draws power from the grid as usual. The system runs on a net-metering basis, so you’re billed only for the net units drawn from the utility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Windsun's EPC service actually include?
Everything from site survey and energy mapping to engineering, design, equipment supply, financial modeling, installation, commissioning, and liaisoning for net metering approvals — followed by ongoing O&M support. You don't need to coordinate separate vendors for each stage.
How long does it take to recover the cost of a rooftop solar system?
Based on our completed projects, typical payback is in the 4–5 year range. Actual payback depends on your electricity tariff, roof size, and load profile — we calculate a project-specific figure during the site assessment.
What happens to my solar system's output when it's cloudy or at night?
Your building draws power from the grid as usual during low generation periods. On sunny days, any surplus your system generates gets fed back to the grid, and a bi-directional meter nets out what you draw versus what you export so you're billed only on the net difference.
Do I need batteries for a grid-tie rooftop system?
No. Grid-tie systems work directly with the utility grid instead of storing power onsite, which means lower upfront cost and less maintenance compared to battery-based setups. You'd only need batteries if you specifically want backup power during outages, which is a separate configuration.
